Mini Wing Attak

The Attak is a mini-paraglider project combining simplicity and safety. This class of paraglider stands out for higher speed and the ability to operate in stronger wind than usual paraglider flying. Knowledge and control of this more agile form of flight are important.

Simplicity is present in its lightness and low weight, making the Attak suitable for several sport modalities, including freestyle, hike-and-fly, dunes and thermal flying.

Project

The Attak has 26 cells and diagonal profiles connected to the main profiles, improving load distribution across the canopy. This gives the paraglider greater solidity and smoother upper and lower surfaces, reducing aerodynamic drag.

It was designed using new software and updated knowledge. The profile was chosen because it provides a real gain in glide and stability, with a wide speed range and excellent in-flight stability.

Technical Data

Available sizes: 16, 18 and 20. The wing has 26 cells in every size. Projected area: 13.70 m², 15.75 m² and 17.80 m². Flat area: 16.00 m², 18.00 m² and 20.00 m². Projected aspect ratio: 3.01. Flat aspect ratio: 4.00.

Wing weight: 3.4 kg, 3.6 kg and 3.8 kg. Minimum sink: 2.2, 1.8 and 1.4 m/s. Minimum speed: 29 km/h. Trim speed: 38 km/h. Maximum speed: 52 km/h. Glide: 6.5, 7.0 and 7.5. Certification: load test. Performance depends on total in-flight weight, pilot position and harness aerodynamics.

Materials

Since 1991, SOL has produced and followed the evolution of materials and products. Our experience leads us to choose materials carefully, ensuring excellent durability and a high level of safety. All SOL paragliders are manufactured in SOL's own DHV-certified factory.

• Top/bottom surfaces: WTX40 PU+Silicon coating, 40 g/m².
• Profiles: Pro-Nyl high-tenacity nylon ripstop, hard finish, 42 g/m².
• Reinforcements: nylon battens at the profile front.
• Lines: Cousin Dyneema and Cousin Superaram from 1.1 mm to 2.1 mm.
• Risers: Fitanew 15 x 2.0 mm flat multi BI, 1,600 kg.
• Maillons: SOL Raeder.
