The Connect Bi is a light, durable, safe and versatile paraglider developed for tandem flying. Its development was carried out in partnership with professional tandem pilots who completed more than 600 tandem flights in a wide range of conditions over more than a year.
The aim of this project was to create a paraglider that is easy to operate in every respect, with a clear focus on easy take-off, piloting and landing. Pilots beginning tandem activity gain equipment that is easier to adapt to, while professional high-frequency tandem pilots benefit from lower effort in daily operation.
The Connect Bi has precise and direct brake control, giving the pilot full command of the canopy. Ball-bearing pulleys on the brake lines provide greater sensitivity and smoother, more precise handling.
The Connect Bi is a tandem paraglider classified LTF/EN B, requiring the experience and skills of qualified tandem pilots. It combines latest-generation lines with 40 g, 36 g and 29 g fabrics, resulting in a light wing for its category.
The Connect Bi incorporates SOL's latest technologies and solutions for modern wings, including a more aerodynamic stabiliser, a higher-performance profile with greater stability, and increased aspect ratio for a significant performance gain. SOL also works to reduce environmental impact through more sustainable materials, processes and waste reuse.
The Connect Bi is available in three sizes: 38, 41 and 44. It has 39 cells in every size. Flat area ranges from 37.54 m² to 40.76 m² and projected area from 32.83 m² to 35.65 m². Flat aspect ratio is 5.01 and projected aspect ratio is 3.80 across all sizes.
The line set uses Liros PPSLS 1.05, 1.2 and 1.58 mm, and Dyneema Cousin 2.1 mm and 0.95 mm. Wing weight ranges from 6.5 kg to 7.05 kg. Take-off weight ranges are 120-200 kg, 130-210 kg and 140-218 kg. Certification includes EN/LTF with B certification in the main size.
SOL Paragliders has always been known for durable equipment. The Connect Bi is built with an excellent combination of materials, making it one of the most durable paragliders currently available in its class.
