The Free Spin was designed to give pilots an exciting and controlled experience, allowing gradual development of freestyle paragliding skills while enjoying the freedom and adventure of acrobatic free flight.
Its aerodynamic profile offers excellent glide, speed and manoeuvrability. Thanks to the internal construction, forces are evenly distributed, providing effective damping of unwanted movements and improved performance.
Stiffer rods at the front of the profile provide very forgiving inflation and take-off behaviour. The Free Spin is an excellent choice for pilots beginning freestyle. Its design aims to provide stability and manoeuvrability, making it especially suitable for acro beginners who want to explore manoeuvres safely.
The Free Spin can be considered a new category of paraglider. It has easy, reliable piloting dynamics while keeping the ease of use found in the safest paragliders on the market. Its handling, light weight and ease of use make it attractive for a wide range of pilots seeking progression in freestyle.
The Free Spin is available in six sizes: 15, 16, 18, 20, 22 and 24. It has 39 cells in every size. Flat area ranges from 17.01 m² to 26.51 m² and projected area from 14.87 m² to 23.18 m². Flat aspect ratio is 5.01 and projected aspect ratio is 3.80 across all sizes.
The line set uses Cousin Technora 2.1 mm and Liros PPSLS 1.05, 1.2 and 1.58 mm. Wing weight ranges from 3.5 kg to 5.3 kg. Take-off weight ranges are 55-70 kg, 65-82 kg, 80-95 kg, 90-105 kg, 100-115 kg and 110-130 kg.
SOL Paragliders has always been known for durable equipment. The Free Spin is built with an excellent combination of materials. Its WTX 40 g fabric, combined with Dyneema PPSLS lines, makes this paraglider one of the most durable currently available.
