Prymus 6 - For Those Who Want to Fly

The Prymus 6, certified LTF/EN A, is a new project that improves on its predecessor through overall aerodynamic refinement and, in particular, more efficient new stabilisers.

Since 2001, Prymus paragliders have been the choice for pilots starting to fly and for regular pilots who want to fly with peace of mind. It is the right paraglider from the first flights through to thermalling and distance flights.

Flight Characteristics

The new Prymus 6 incorporates the latest technologies used in paragliders for safety, performance and ease of flight, allowing pilots to develop their flying skills safely, comfortably and progressively.

The Prymus already has a strong history in paraglider training. It is an entry-level model and also an option for pilots who want to fly with the highest possible level of safety in the sport. The evolution of SOL projects now allows pilots to make long flights without needing to move category.

Technologies

The Prymus 6 combines SOL technologies for performance, safety and durability: constant pressure system, laser cutting, cross rods, load-distribution tapes, hybrid materials, mini ribs, 3D shaping, higher projected aspect ratio, Bow Tec arc, high-tech lines and three risers.

Technical Data

Available sizes: XXS, XS, S, M, L, XL and XXL. The wing has 39 cells in every size. Flat area ranges from 21.00 m² to 33.25 m² and projected area from 18.36 m² to 29.08 m². Flat aspect ratio is 5.01 and projected aspect ratio is 3.80 across all sizes.

The line set uses Dyneema PPSLS 0.7, 1.0, 1.2 and 1.6 mm. Wing weight ranges from 4.2 kg to 6.6 kg. Take-off weight ranges are 55-70 kg, 65-80 kg, 75-90 kg, 85-100 kg, 95-110 kg, 105-125 kg and 120-140 kg. Certified LTF/EN A in the main certified sizes.

Certification

LTF/EN A flight reports, inspection certificates, certification labels and line measurements are available for sizes S, M, L and XL. Certification numbers: PG 2233.2023, PG 2234.2023, PG 2235.2023 and PG 2236.2023.

Materials

SOL Paragliders has always been known for durable equipment. The Prymus 6 is built with an excellent combination of materials. Its WTX 40 g fabric, combined with Dyneema PPSLS lines, makes this paraglider one of the most durable currently available.

• Profiles: Pro-Nyl high-tenacity nylon ripstop, hard finish, 36 g/m².
• Rods: Nylon Maxfio Meada, 2.5 mm.
• Lines: Liros Dyneema PPSLS 0.7, 1.0, 1.2 and 1.6 mm.
• Maillons: Ansung Precision 15 mm, 800 kg.
• Risers: Polyester Venus 15 mm, 1,600 kg.
• Pulleys: SOL nylon 12 mm and ISR 16 mm ball bearing.
